Tell Burnaby Council to vote for Canadian Energy

Tell Burnaby City Council to vote NOT to the so-called "Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty."

Support Canadian Energy

On Monday, January 24th, Burnaby City Council will vote on whether to endorse the so-called "Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty" which would require the City to not only prevent any new oil and gas projects, but to take steps towards eliminating any existing infrastructure like pipelines. They are doing this in the name of climate change.

This treaty will have the opposite effect - oil consumption has returned to near pre-pandemic levels and natural gas demand is even higher. The world is going to be powered by oil and gas for a long time to come. By turning its back on Canadian oil and gas, which is produced responsibly and in accordance with tough environmental rules, the City of Burnaby is supporting demand for oil and gas being met by nations that lack Canada’s rigorous standards and freedoms.

Tell the members of Burnaby City Council the message that they should vote No to this treaty by clicking the form.
